It is our homeschool's absolute favorite!

I give WriteShop the credit for helping my first three children (all different learning styles and abilities) write outstanding papers in college. WriteShop gave them the foundation they needed.

My first three children did really well with WriteShop, my youngest..... well,....her strong will made homeschooling all subjects, like writing, a little more challenging.

Like her siblings, she went through the upper level WriteShop curriculum, then her senior year she used an online writing program.

Just yesterday as I was reviewing one of her papers before she submitted it, I realized, "WriteShop did sink in! She is using all that she learned from WriteShop! WOW!" (By the way here online teacher continually praised her on work she turned in.) 

During our Writeshop years, I was continually having to remind her to follow what she was being taught. I didn't think it was working with her. She had no desire to learn how to write well.

If this is your child, do not lose hope! Repetition and great curriculum can and usually, in time, will click in your child's mind and you will be happily surprised.

As a parent and teacher, I love Writeshop because it does an excellent job guiding the teacher through all the aspects of teaching each lesson and correcting your student's work.

Its hard to teaching writing well. Just enough encouragement, not expecting more than they can handle, but not letting them get away with poorly done work.
