When our children were growing up ad especially when they were teens, Plugged in was our go-to for answers in what was good and worth the watch and what was not.. Even for adults, it is a great reference to check before spending time and money on a movie that if you knew..... you would not have watched.

If you are looking for detailed information about what’s really in popular movies, videos, television episodes, songs and games, Plugged in has the answers. Entertainment industry ratings only tell you so much but they go deeper, diving into specific content and the meaning behind it.

This is some of the newest information I came across from Plugged In

Netflix, Hulu and other streaming services are something of a parenting paradox. In a way, they’ve made parenting harder, because so much problematic content is available on any Smartphone with just a push and a swipe. But these services make some pretty good content more widely available, too—and that includes some pretty good Christian movies.
Today, we’ll take a look at some of the faith-based films that we consider to be the best of the best available on three of the most popular streaming services: Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime. We tried to cast a pretty wide net, offering a little something for every taste, be they parent, kid or just someone wanting to watch a film that reflects their faith. And we start with …

Netflix
Joseph: King of Dreams
The Resurrection of Gavin Stone
A Week Away
The Young Messiah

Amazon Prime
Courageous- review here
The Pilgrim’s Progress- review here
Same Kind of Different as Me- review here

Hulu
I Still Believe
The Miracle Season
Where Hope Grows

Next time your children want to go to the movie theater with their friends or watch a movie at home, check Plugged in first.

Our job as parents is to protect our children from themselves when they can't see the pic picture (no pun intended) of the effects of what they allow their eyes to see and their ears to hear. And the example begins with us!
