Will My Children Ever Grow Up?

If you are the parents of young children, you may think that they will never grow up.

I remember looking forward to the days when I wouldn't have to repeat myself over and over again, dress them, bathe them, carry them everywhere, go through the huge bedtime routine. I look back and see how much I missed by looking ahead to what I wished for rather than looking at the abundant blessings that God had given every moment of every day! Please take advice from this mom......

Personal Finance: A subject we should all be teaching our teens

Is personal finance and budgeting a required class for your homeschooled high schooler? It is in our homeschool. 
I believe that money management and time management are two very important subjects that are often ignored. Both are subjects that our children will need great skills in for the rest of their lives! Hoping that they just figured it out on their own is wishful thinking. 
Children learn from adult modeled behavior. Is it any surprise then, if parents don't handle their money well, their children will not either? And if you look at statistics, most don't ever figure it out, at least not how to manage it well. (continue reading)

A Letter from Matt at  Axis (Understanding Your Teen Summit)

1. There are no perfect parents. 
2. My approach to screens/smartphones truly does matter and can shape my children's' minds and lives.
3. I must be the first authority on sex and pornography for my child -- Always bringing it up earlier than I actually think I should too. Because the world speaks loudly.
4. The minute I check out on my kids, they will see it and reciprocate.
