Homeschooling a Strong Willed Child

Now that I have experienced parenting from the birth of my children through grandparenting, I can say that for me, the physical exhaustion of raising four little ones was SO MUCH EASIER than the mental and emotional draining of parenting teens. Add the strong will of a child and the physical, mental and emotionally draining is intensified. My husband and I were blessed to have 4 out of 4 strong willed children (intensities varied, thank the Lord!)

Christmas- What Really Matters Most and GIVEAWAY!

Every year I do the same thing. I tell myself that I will get all my Christmas shopping, and gifts made and done before Thanksgiving. This has been a Christmas wish that continues to elude me! It has been on very rare occasions that I actually have sent Christmas gifts early enough that they arrive before Christmas. Such high hopes... maybe this year? I doubt it.

Mamas, You Are Moving Mountains!

Today as I was planning for an upcoming trip to support and encourage one of our children, I had many thoughts going through my mind about the nature of motherhood, and this came to mind: Moms move mountains.

If our children are typical kids with all of the regular growing up needs, interests to be explored, talents to be developed, ups and downs of every age and stage--we're there making sure they get what they need.
