How to Homeschool Through the Winter Slump

Surviving February

Take field tripsThis is the perfect time to take your family to twelve fantastic virtual destinations. Here are just a few places you and your family can explore: The Capitol, Mark Twain's Home, an African animal lookout, wreck of the USS Monitor, Ireland and more!

Make February an "hands-on only" learning month. You'll find great idea on our Fun Ideas for Your Kids, Homeschool Science and Active Learning Pinterest boards. Great STEM activities and resources can be found at Educents

February is also an excellent time to plan a family vacation. Most children are in school so places are less crowded. You will receive off-season prices (as long as you don't go during Presidents day weekend) And you get a break from the winter slump!

Pick up a great book  that is just fun to read, not because you need to read it for school, but because it is just down right entertaining for all who read and who listen. Snuggle up with the kids on the couch and enjoy. Make memories!
