Eight Reasons to Rent Curriculum

Posted by Michelle Osborn on

1. You want to save money. Rent at less than half the cost of purchasing. Teacher’s books are especially ideal for renting.  If you are worried about the condition of the book, after being a part of your homeschool  year, think of this.  You, not the children, are the one that will be using the teacher books.  They are not books that will be written in.  Teacher books and answer keys are usually the most expensive books to purchase.

2. You want to try a new curriculum: Try before you buy. How often do you wish you could try a curriculum without having to pay for the whole set, and then decide you don’t like it?  You can try out our curriculum by renting it.  If you decide it is a good fit for you and your children, you have two choices. You can return the rented material after the rental use, or, you may choose to purchase it. The purchase price will be the cost of the book, minus the rental fee that you have already paid.  You win either way!!

Making History Come Alive

History was my favorite subject to teach. I learned some pretty amazing things about people and places with my kids.
Whenever I could find a movie that went along with what we were learning, I would make time in our school schedule to watch it. People of all ages learn best when they can use as many ways of learning as possilbe.

We saw history in a new light. Sonlight uses reading books, living books, not textbooks, to take you and your child through history by drawing you into the events, feelings, and thoughts of those who lived before us. (fiction and non-fiction).......continue reading

Mystery of History You'll Love It

Mystery of History will save you time and stress

I stumbled upon Mystery of History after I started my online homeschool curriculum rental business, Yellow House Book Rental. Wanting to know more about it before I started renting and selling it at Yellow House Book Rental, I incorporated it into our Sonlight curriculum, and we loved it. My two oldest had graduated and I used it with my younger two, ages 11 and 13....continue reading
