What's Next? High School and Beyond

What do you want to be when you grow up?

It’s a common question to which children give common answers: firefighter, doctor, race car driver. My answer for a long time was "figure skater."

As we age, we may come up with more sophisticated ideas—a marketing specialist or entrepreneur. But none of this career talk truly gets to the heart of the question: what do you want to be?

Family Mission Trips and Why You Should Do Them

Our family just returned from a trip to Kenya. We had several reasons for our trip, one was to visit and encourage our dear family friends who have moved there to open a business and share the gospel through their work and lives. The other was to visit Kids for Christ, an organization that our church has begun partnering with. Christmas- What really matters most

Every year I do the same thing. I tell myself that I will get all my Christmas shopping, and gifts made and done before Thanksgiving. This has been a Christmas wish that continues to elude me! It has been on very rare occasions that I actually have sent Christmas gifts early enough that they arrive before Christmas. Such high hopes... maybe this year? I doubt it.

Martin Luther Reformation: Celebrating 500 years

October 31st, best know as Halloween is also  Reformation Day, the anniversary of Martin Luther nailing his 95 Theses on the door of All Saints’ Church—an event that eventually sparked the Reformation.
